A native of San Antonio, TX, Cristina Gonzalez has a passion for serving the community of families with special needs. A graduate of Our Lady of the Lake University with a bachelor degree in Special Education and a master degree in Curriculum Instruction. Cristina Gonzalez began her career serving students with severe special needs in San Antonio Independent School District. After a decade, she transitioned to Northside Independent School District.
Cristina worked in various roles from educator to campus coordinator. In 2019, after thirty proud years of service, she retired to spend more time with her family. Retirement was the end of something and the beginning of a new journey. Cristina found that teaching young adults is a way to connect, give back and accepted a role with St. Philip’s College as an Adjunct Instructor. In the summer of 2022, an exciting venture presented itself bringing her back to serve the community she has always loved. As a part of the TX-STAR Speech-Language Services Corp. team in the role of Program Specialist. Cristina continues to advocate for individuals with special needs by sharing her knowledge and expertise in her position at TX-STAR Speech- Language Services Corp.
