TX-STAR Speech Language Services partners with school districts throughout Texas to provide students with individualized speech and language support. We are currently seeking Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants for school-based opportunities in the El Paso area.
These positions are ideal for professionals who enjoy helping students improve their communication abilities while working under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you will help deliver structured therapy services to students with a variety of communication needs.
In this role, you will:

Carry out speech and language therapy activities developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist

Provide structured interventions that address communication goals included in students’ Individualized Education Programs

Deliver direct services in individual and small-group settings as assigned
-
Support students with articulation, receptive and expressive language, fluency, and other communication needs

Collect session data and assist with tracking student participation, performance, and progress

Prepare therapy materials, instructional resources, and activities for scheduled sessions

Maintain organized service records and complete assigned documentation within required timelines

Collaborate with the supervising SLP, classroom teachers, campus staff, and multidisciplinary team members

Follow therapy plans, supervision requirements, district procedures, and applicable compliance standards
Qualifications for This Position

Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field
-
Current and active Texas license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Ability to provide services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
-
Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and time-management skills

Ability to work effectively with students, educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Valid Texas driver’s license when travel between campuses is required

Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
