TX-STAR has been serving school districts since 2005 and has served over 40 school districts and a multitude of other agencies. Our staff are highly trained and have experience in educational environments, and more specifically the roles involved in special education. This experience working with all disciplines of Special Education staff provides unique insight into working with districts and making correct matches between contract service providers and the District.
About the role:
The VI teacher must be able to conduct any needed assessments to determine the strengths and needs of each student. The VI teacher will provide instruction and will prepare and maintain learning materials in the appropriate accessible format for each student. The VI teacher will consult with the staff who work with a student along with each student’s family.
What you must have:
A Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university.
A valid teacher certification.

Ability to use accepted tests and measurements to assess visual conditions.
Ability to instruct and manage student behavior.
